Author Biography

Kay Sanderson

Kay Sanderson is a PhD student in the School of Information Management at Victoria University of Wellington. Her research is concerned with the materiality of digital heritage objects. On one level it is an investigation of how evidence emerges when a historical researcher interacts with the physical and digital things she encounters in archives, libraries and museums. On another it is a philosophy led conceptual analysis of archives domain theory and practice which explores the validity of the archives domain’s traditional discourse of differentiation and the potential for replacing it with a discourse of convergence capable of cutting across the heritage collecting domains.
